My Artful Teacher

Since June 2024, a unique programme led by Ms. Sanjna Kapoor—celebrated for her work in theatre and her role in transforming Prithvi Theatre into one of India’s leading cultural spaces—has been enhancing education at DPS Patna.

Over three years, primary teachers are on a journey to spark curiosity, imagination, and creativity through art-based practices. The focus is on how children think, create meaning, and imagine possibilities, rather than only on subject content.

The programme is demanding yet rewarding, involving individual and group tasks along with classroom projects. Through it, teachers have discovered their “artful teacher-self,” bringing new energy and inspiration to their classes.

This growth has strengthened collaboration among teachers and enriched every child’s learning experience.
