AAVAAHAN – The Musical Interlude, a mesmerising evening of classical, western, and folk performances, unveiled the artistic brilliance and unwavering dedication of the talented students of DPS Patna. The event provided an enriching platform for young disciples of music to express their creativity, discipline, and passion.The ceremony commenced with the auspicious Lighting of the Lamp, a tradition deeply rooted in our culture, symbolising purity and enlightenment.The programme opened with an Invocatory Dance, a graceful Kathak presentation set on Durga Stuti. The dancers enthralled the audience with intricate footwork, expressive gestures, and devotional aura, invoking the blessings of Goddess Durga and setting a divine tone for the evening. The dance was performed by Eeshani Upadhyay of class VII I, Shanvi Of class VIII G, Heer Meghani of class VII H, Aditi Agrawal of class VII A, Mannat Karamchandani of class IX D, Aarohi Jha of class IX F, Garima Agrawal Of class IX F and Anvesha Sinha of class VIII A.The next presentation was the Classical Vocal Group performance in Raag Yaman. The serene Chhota Khayal and melodious bandish compositions showcased the students’ command over swaras, taal, and presentation, creating an ambience of classical purity and discipline. This was perfomed by Aaradhya Singh-VIII H, Aditi Shekhar- VIII A, Animesh Sagar- X I, Niyanta Apratim VIII D, Saanvi Anand- IX H, Anjali Raj- IX E, Shambhavi Raj- IX F, Rayna Singh-VIII F, Aariz Alam- IX H, Nivedita Nishtha-VII E, Bhavya Shree-VII G Acoompanied  on Tabla by Pratyush Thakuriya- VII G, Shubhangam Shashwat-VII F and Sankarshan-VII F.

Following this was the Classical Instrumental Presentation, a soulful rendition on Flute- Aaditya Shekhar-X H in Raag Bhupali, accompanied by Tabla- Yash Prakash- XI A. The harmonious blend of melody and rhythm highlighted the performers’ finesse, coordination, and musical maturity, leaving the audience enthralled. Adding to the spiritual splendour of the evening was a Bharatanatyam presentation by Riddhi Sharma of class VIII A on Saraswati Stuti, an ode to the goddess of knowledge, music, and enlightenment. The evening further blossomed with a Kathak recital by Aarna Divya of class VIII F choreographed in the timeless style of Pt. Birju Maharaj, whose compositions are celebrated for their poetic charm and rhythmic intricacy.The programme came to a soulful conclusion with a Folk Song Presentation, a touching Vidai Geet. This traditional song, echoing the poignant moment of a daughter’s separation from her father, was performed with deep emotion and authenticity. Its heartfelt delivery resonated profoundly with the audience, making the finale memorable and stirring. The splendid orators of the evening Misbahul Faiz of class IX A and Ayaat Nazir of class VIII G, skilfully steered the programme, adding grace and coherence throughout. The event concluded with an inspiring address by Principal Shri B. Vinod, who appreciated the performers and emphasised the importance of classical and cultural arts in shaping disciplined and sensitive individuals.
