The first 100 days of school mark a remarkable beginning in a child's learning journey. Filled with excitement, exploration, and new experiences, these days’ help children gain confidence, build friendships, and discover the joy of learning. At DPS, we celebrate this important milestone by creating meaningful experiences that nurture curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning. The celebration was spread over five exciting days, with a variety of engaging indoor and outdoor activities. A special highlight was a heart warming PowerPoint presentation prepared by the teachers, showcasing memorable moments from the children's first 100 days at school. Watching themselves on the big screen brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of pride to every child. The grand celebration was held on 14th July 2026 in the Multipurpose Hall. Grandparents of the Pre-Nursery children were invited as special guests, making the occasion even more memorable. The programme began with a delightful performance by the Performing Arts Department.

A special cake-cutting ceremony brought together the grandparents, Principal Mr. B. Vinod, Head Mistress Ms. Namrata Prasad, and Head of Student and Teacher Life, Ms. Chetna Jha. The celebration concluded with a lively dance party where children enjoyed themselves with great enthusiasm. The week featured several engaging classroom activities. Children were welcomed with bubbles and music, followed by a Celebration Circle and Story Session that encouraged them to reflect on their own growth through the story of a tiny seed growing into a plant. During the Recognition Ceremony, every child received a star badge with positive remarks, celebrating their unique qualities. Music and Freeze Dance, Pass the Smile, and the creation of personalised Superstar Wristbands added fun while promoting confidence, kindness, creativity, and social skills. Outdoor activities encouraged teamwork and physical development.

Joyful Parachute Play strengthened cooperation, Avoid the River enhanced balance and concentration, Follow the Leader developed observation and leadership skills, while Action Stations, including hoop jumping, ball tossing, balance walk, and rainbow ring toss, improved coordination, confidence, and gross motor skills. A special Portfolio File was presented to every child, containing a collection of activities completed from the first day of school to the 100th day. The portfolio served as a treasured keepsake, celebrating each child's learning, creativity, and progress. The 100 Days Celebration beautifully reflected the joy, confidence, and growth of every child. It was a memorable milestone that celebrated not only academic learning but also the development of friendships, independence, and self-belief. As our young learners continue their educational journey, these first 100 days will remain a cherished foundation for many more years of joyful learning ahead.
