With immense zeal and enthusiasm, the service staff of Delhi Public School, Patna participated wholeheartedly in the Annual Athletic Meet 2026, held on 31st January during the academic session 2025–26 at the Senior Wing Campus. The event stood as a vibrant celebration of fitness, unity, and sportsmanship, where the staff displayed remarkable courage, discipline, teamwork, and determination. The grand event was meticulously planned and conducted under the esteemed guidance of the Headmistress, Mrs. Namrata Prasad. The Sports Meet began on an inspiring note with the resonating Takshila Gaan, which filled the atmosphere with energy and pride. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the torch. The torchbearers proudly completed a lap around the track, symbolising perseverance and the indomitable spirit of sportsmanship. The torch, representing power, strength, and hope, was then handed over to the sports teachers, who lit the flame and officially declared the Sports Meet open.

The Principal, Mr. B. Vinod, along with the Headmistress, Mrs. Namrata Prasad, Mr. Sandeep Jalan, and Mr. Chetna Jha, ceremoniously hoisted the flag, marking the formal commencement of the event. The official declaration of the meet open by the Service Staff Head, Mr. Sandeep Jalan, infused great enthusiasm and excitement among the participants. An inspiring Campaign Walk by the service staff followed, reflecting unity and collective spirit. Soon after, the oath was administered, reinforcing the values of discipline, fair play, and true sportsmanship. The much-awaited track events commenced at 11:00 a.m. The competitions were organised in male and female categories and further divided into age groups below and above 45 years to ensure fair participation. Events such as the 100 m race, balance race, 200 m relay, zig-zag run, and shot put witnessed enthusiastic participation. Each event was met with loud cheers, creating a lively and motivating atmosphere throughout the day.

The programme was seamlessly compered by Mr. Prashant and Ms. Chitra Singh, who kept the audience engaged and informed. The highlight of the event was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners were felicitated with merit certificates and gifts amid applause.The meet was conducted smoothly under the able mentorship of Mr. Sandeep Jalan. The Annual Athletic Meet concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal, Mr. B. Vinod, followed by the National Anthem. The day ended on a joyous note, leaving everyone with cherished memories and a renewed spirit of sportsmanship.
