Commerce Trade Show – Round 1

Delhi Public School, Patna, Department of Commerce successfully hosted Round 1 of the Trade Show 2025 on October 11, 2025, marking a vibrant culmination of a two-month-long entrepreneurial journey. The initiative, an integral part of Business Studies, aimed to immerse students in experiential learning — to learn by doing — and to cultivate in them the mindset of young entrepreneurs capable of innovation, teamwork, and responsible financial decision-making. The event was a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit, encouraging students to take ownership of their ideas and transform them into viable business ventures through creativity, planning, and execution. It represented the true spirit of holistic, hands-on education, where theory met practice and where students witnessed firsthand how strategic thinking transforms capital into value—the fundamental magic that defines business.

The Trade Show was the outcome of two offline workshops (on 10th September and 8th October) and one online workshop (on 26th September 2025). These sessions empowered students to explore every facet of entrepreneurship—idea generation, product innovation, cost calculation, branding, and customer interaction. The 47 student-led stalls showcased a creative blend of handmade, innovative, and eco-friendly products, such as: Jewellery & Accessories: Keychains, earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, bangles,Home Décor: Diyas, scented candles, essence stands, planters, resin trays, pine trays, wall décor, torans, and paintings, Utility Products: Bags, pouches, tea coasters, fridge magnets, bookmarks, key holders, trays, Food & Beverages: Panipuri, papri chaat, bhel, brownies, cupcakes, pastries, tea, coffee, mojito, lemonade, Crafted Goods: Crochet items, canvas art, resin plates, devotional sculptures, perfumes, soaps, and fresheners. Each stall represented a micro-enterprise, complete with a brand name, logo, tagline, pricing strategy, promotional offers, and stall setup. The Trade Show was graced by the esteemed presence of: Mrs. Harjot Kaur, IAS — Chairman, Board of Revenue and Mr. Dipak Kumar Singh, IAS — Additional Chief Secretary, Land Revenue & Rural Roads, Patna. Their presence elevated the event to a new level of learning and motivation. Both dignitaries visited and interacted with all 47 stalls, offering valuable insights on innovation, sustainability, and presentation.

They appreciated the concept of the Trade Show, commending the students for their professionalism, enthusiasm, and creative thinking. Their interaction left a lasting impact on students, who felt inspired and valued as their business ideas received expert-level feedback and appreciation.The Trade Show provided an extraordinary platform for students to interact with jury members, guests, teachers, and customers — developing not only communication and negotiation skills but also the confidence to present, market, and justify their products. Students enthusiastically explained their production processes, costing logic, branding decisions, and the rationale behind their packaging choices. These meaningful conversations nurtured real entrepreneurial thinking, teaching students to balance innovation, sustainability, and demand effectively.
