The Takshila Inter-School Sports Championship 2024 was conducted with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship on 27 and 28 November at Takshila School Campus. The two-day sporting extravaganza witnessed the dynamic participation of 22 schools from across Patna, competing in two major events — the “Drag Flick” Hockey Tournament and the “Master Move” Chess Tournament, under the Under-14 and Under-19 categories. Sports championships play a vital role in the holistic growth of students. They boost physical fitness and endurance, develop team spirit, leadership, and cooperation, enhance focus, discipline, and decision-making skills, build confidence and resilience and promote healthy competition and inter-school bonding. Such events inspire students to excel both on the field and in life, creating memorable experiences that shape their character. The event commenced with a grand Opening Ceremony, graced by distinguished personalities. The Chief Guest, Mr. Vipin Kumar, Former National Player, declared the championship open. The school also had the honour of welcoming the Special Guests — Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Director of Sports, Bihar, and Mr. Rana Pratap Singh, Secretary, Hockey Association of Bihar. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the championship flag, followed by a melodious prayer song presented by the students, which filled the atmosphere with grace and positivity. This was succeeded by an impressive march past by all participating schools, showcasing discipline, unity, and vibrant school spirit. The Drag Flick Hockey tournament brought high-energy matches, exceptional coordination, and tactical brilliance. Meanwhile, the Master Move Chess Tournament witnessed intense concentration, calculated moves, and sharp strategic thinking. Across both days, students demonstrated remarkable commitment, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The two-day event concluded on 28 November with a dignified Prize Distribution Ceremony, led by Principal Sir, who awarded trophies, medals, and certificates to the winners. The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Sanjay Tiwari, appreciating the efforts of participants, coaches, coordinators, and supporting staff.
