On 17 July 2025, Delhi Public School, Patna organized a lively and immersive event titled “Seasons of Fun” for students of Nursery to Class I. Designed to blend learning with creativity, the event provided an engaging platform for children to explore the different seasons through hands-on activities involving art, music, dance, games, and storytelling. The celebration began with vibrant energy as children came dressed in cheerful yellow outfits, reflecting the freshness of spring. A fun vegetable printing activity kicked off the day, where children brought seasonal vegetables from home. Using ladyfinger as a stamp, they created beautiful floral patterns in their art journals, expressing their creativity while learning about seasonal produce.

Following the morning assembly, the “weather wheel” activity introduced children to different types of weather in a playful manner. They took turns spinning the wheel and identifying the weather of the day, sparking curiosity and awareness about the world around them. Excitement continued with a lively “Fill the Bucket” race. With baskets in hand and bright smiles on their faces, children collected scattered objects to fill their buckets. This activity not only brought immense joy but also encouraged teamwork, coordination, and participation. In classrooms, students drew their favourite fruits or vegetables and spoke a few lines about them. This reflective activity boosted their confidence and communication skills while reinforcing the themes explored during the day. Preparatory students celebrated summer with great enthusiasm. Dressed in red, symbolizing the warmth of the season, they brought along summer essentials such as swimming tubes, goggles, hand fans, and caps.

A special morning assembly saw them singing songs about the seasons with joy, and their teachers added to the excitement by joining in the dance, making it a moment to cherish. Back in class, children teamed up for a collage-making activity where each group represented a specific season. With teamwork and creativity, they tore, arranged, and pasted pictures to create vivid seasonal scenes. The day concluded with a round of “Season Freeze Tag,” where children ran to music and froze in seasonal poses—fanning for summer, sneezing for spring, or pretending to wear raincoats for the monsoon. The room echoed with laughter and excitement, making the learning experience truly memorable. Class I students focused on the rainy season, dressed in shades of blue to reflect its cool essence. A dedicated rainy season kiosk was set up with props and visuals, enriching their understanding of monsoon elements. Activities like rain-themed paper chain making, charades, block building, and playdough modeling kept the children engaged and enhanced their fine motor and cognitive skills. They even explored a shadow game outdoors, discovering how light and weather interact in nature. From bright sunshine to drizzles and blooms, “Seasons of Fun” turned out to be a joyful blend of discovery, creativity, and celebration—making learning a beautiful and lasting memory for every child.
